We started our third day in Paris with a walking tour of the art district, named Montmarte. Here, we toured the famous homes of artist such as Picasso and Van Gogh. We were able to walk around, look at local art, and experience the French culture. One of the main attractions of Montmarte is the Basilique Du Sacre Coeur De Montmarte. It is famous for being one of the largest churches in Paris, and is the highest point in Paris. One of our fellow students left a note, commemorating our experiences at the church. We started our route south and and ended up at Chatalet, where we experienced different outside markets offering their own unique shopping experiences.

After our walk of the Paris art district, we headed down to the the Seine to hop on our riverboat tour. The tour lasted about an hour and we were able to see all the sites that sit on the Seine, such as the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Louvre, and the Eiffel Tower. It was peaceful, sitting and relaxing while taking in all the sites that Paris has to offer. The trip started and ended at the Eiffel Tower, where many of us snapped photos at one of the most famous towers in the world. It was an eventful day, learning about Paris art, cruising the Seine, and exploring the beauty the Eiffel Tower.

Bonne Chance to the rest of the Jaspers studying abroad!

  1. This day had to be my favorite out of the whole trip! Since it was the highest part in the city, you could see everything! It was truly amazing to be able to look out from the Basilique Du Sacre Coeur De Montmarte, which is the church at the top of the hill. I would recommend this town not only for the view but for the adorable eateries and the shopping. There was a lot of artiest there too. Totally agree that it was an eventful day! :)
