We've been in Madrid for about 4 weeks now. I've now had the opportunity to explore the area around our residence in Tetúan and other parts of the city. Before going on our first trip out of Madrid to Paris, we went on another walking tour of a town called Lavapiés. It's a beautiful older town with lots of history.
This is one of my favorite photos I took while on the tour. We walked down many streets that looked just as beautiful as this one and learned about the history and traditions of the area.
We also went on a tour of the Archeological Museum of Madrid and walked around down by Cuatro Caminos.
At the end of the week, 3 of my friends: Olivia, Jessica, Brenna and I left on our first trip out of Madrid to Paris. We spent 3 days in Paris exploring the city and all it has to offer. We had a great time.
On our first day in the city, we walked around the Louvre, saw the Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe, and River Seine. It was a little bit rainy but we still made the most of the day.
On our second day in Paris, we luckily had much nicer weather, and were able to go up to the top of the Eiffel Tower!
Here are a few of my favorite photos from the day. The restaurant pictured was called Le Musset and it was a really good spot. I highly recommend it! We also went to dinner at an Italian restaurant called Gusto Italia, this was definitely my favorite thing that we ate on the trip! Overall we all loved visiting Paris and seeing all the city's beautiful sights and streets. It was a great way to start our travels outside of Madrid!
