Hello!
At the beginning of March, Brenna's family and I went over to Barcelona for the weekend to explore the city. Barcelona is about two and a half hours away from Madrid by train, so the trip over was relatively easy! While in Barcelona we explored all the sights like Park Güell, La Sagrada Familia, Barceloneta, and La Rambla. The city itself is beautiful and we enjoyed walking around and exploring.
This photo is from the top of the Sagrada Familia overlooking the city below.
This image is of the back side of La Sagrada Familia. They are currently working on the final middle tower!
The next place we went to see was Park Güell. The park was my favorite thing I saw while in Barcelona. It was really beautiful and the weather the day we went was perfect.
Shortly after the Park we then walked over to Barceloneta, which is a small beach area just outside of the city center.
The next day we walked about the city more and visited La Rambla and El Mercado Boqueria. El Mercado was amazing to see, there was food, spices, sweets, and art filling the market.
Overall, I really enjoyed this weekend trip to Barcelona. It was my first time being in the city but it certainly did not disappoint! I hope to make it back again before the semester is over and the weather warms up!! I recommend stopping by Barcelona if you're ever in Spain :)
Thank you for the photos of the Barcelona area and your comments. We are looking forward to learning even more about your adventure. Angela & John Mark; (John H Mark Jr, Facebook)
