Madrid has been lovely so far. It has been really interesting to see how different the pace and people are compared to NYC. Shops closing midday and little food places being open past midnight are definitely things to get used to. People seem to always be sitting outside, drinking, eating, and talking. When we first came, the weather was a bit cold and rainy, but now it is almost 70 degrees in the afternoon! On January 16th we went on a walking tour of Plaza de Oriente and areas close by with one of our professors. It has been a great experience so far and I am excited to see more!
