The only interesting thing that happened lately was that this past weekend, I traveled to Vicenza to help my friend Will with his Film Project Workshop movie. From what I remember, it's about some actor who does this interesting monologue, but I played the bartender with very expressive facial expressions and the camera operator. Not in the movie, but an actual camera operator. I loved it solely because we filmed on a military base and as a military child, it felt great to be in their version of the BX (Lackland AFB term) and the Commissary. They had POPEYES and TACO BELL which I absolutely stuffed my face in because I missed it so much. Specifically the Cajun fries plus like a Crunchwrap, tacos, and a burrito with Dr. Pepper. Exquisite. On top of that
, everything was sold in US dollars which meant I could use my Apple Cash that I've been saving up for the past months :) It was awesome.
After that, I took the train and went to Verona, the home of Romeo and Juliet. First of all, Juliet is everywhere! And I mean, everywhere. There's little, subtle hints of her presence throughout the city, but mainly at Juliet's House. Just walking on the street to the castle/house, you just knew that you were there because a bunch of people were crowding that area so profoundly. I walked in and I saw a statue of Juliet and everybody's huddling it, caressing her boobs. Allegedly, if you rub her boobs, that means good luck is coming your way. I think I should've rubbed, squeezed, pinched, whatever because I NEEDED GOOD LUCK this past week and it's been hell. To the point where I got stress pimples and pain in the head area. Beyond that, I went up the tower and looked over the balcony and honestly, not as impressive as I thought, but it was cool to see different paintings of their own interpretation of the Shakespearean play. Amazing!
That's honestly about it. After that stint, I came back to Rome by like 6:30am and didn't even bother falling asleep because I knew it wasn't happening. And now? I'm just waiting to be done with everything here!
