I've been MIA lately, sorry about that. It's cause A, I technically have less than a month until my semester's done and to actually think that my time here in Rome is coming to an end is strange. And B, I had to crash study for my last in-class essay for my Laughter, Satire, and the Comic Form class about black humor, but I'm back on my regular routine.
Anyways, this past Monday I went on a field trip to Studios International where we got to see different film and television sets, especially their version of late night. While we have The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, and Late Night with Seth Meyers, Italians have Paradise. Yep, simply called Paradise, but walking on their set was really cool because you get the idea of what the atmosphere is like for the host and the special guests to be on the show.
The studios is smaller than Cinecitta because they tend to focus on smaller budget projects, which includes mainly television. That's why most of their sets is built for the small screen while they have a few big sets for bigger budget projects like ones that fit into the action-adventure genre. B-movies are also very popular when it comes to being filmed at Studios International, and commercials.
Sorry this is really short, it's 8:36am and my mental state right now is not in a place to type out a well good post. My brain's ready to fall back asleep or watch something that involves someone getting shot or someone getting stabbed. That's all I have for now, so here's to praying the next post is more interesting depending on what happens in my life next.
