Walking Tour of Madrid

Today is our 6th day in Madrid, and we are all enjoying ourselves so far! Yesterday the other Manhattan College students and I went on a walking tour of Madrid with our tour guide Pablo. While on the tour he talked to us about the history of the city, different buildings, and various holidays and traditions that take place on the streets downtown. We walked down to the Royal Palace, Plaza de Isabel II, la Plaza Mayor, and el Puerto del Sol.

This is a photo of the street outside of the Ópera train station!

This photo is outside of the Royal Palace of Madrid that was put up for Gloria de las Artes.

Lastly, this photo is from the Plaza Mayor which is in the middle of the city of Madrid, about 5 minutes away from the Plaza de Sol.

We're still settling in, but so far we've had a lot of fun exploring the city and seeing all the different parts of Madrid!
