Bona Nit,
Around noon we arrived in Sitges, a small town near Barcelona. It is such a cute artsy town filled with people in picturesque alleys, there was a thick, colorful carpet of confetti running from the train station down to the beach. We decided to stop at a bar to have Empanadas & Tapas before the carnival started. All around Sitges there was people in costumes walking up and down the seafront, watching football matches at the local pubs or eating lunch. Children were running around in costumes, playing with sparkles, confetti, water guns etc.
After the beach we started heading down to the streets for the parade to start, as we were making our way down we found a kiosk that was selling churros, a crisp, deep fried sprinkled with sugar/ chocolate. The parade started around 8 pm and the streets were filled with laughter, singing, dancing and music. The entire night lasted till the mornings filled with everyone having fun.
