Exploring Rome: The Pantheon & Trevi Fountain

I am so excited to be exploring Rome as this is my first time in Italy! These sites have been favorite on the trip so far.

Our day started by traveling to Piazza Navona on the metro. We first saw a church (photographed on the left), stopped for lunch, visited the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain and ended our day with a delicious dinner.

I was extremely fascinated by all of the details in this church.

Our next stop was the Pantheon. I loved learning about the history of this building, its unsupported dome specifically.

After exploring the Pantheon, we walked to Trevi Fountain. This was my favorite site I have seen in Rome! The color of the water was truly remarkable to me. The location of the fountain was also surprising to me as it was in the middle of a plaza with many shops surrounding it.

Our day ended with a dinner altogether!

I am excited to continue exploring the beauty of Rome this week. On my trip abroad, I have stepped out of my comfort zone and have been eager to try new things. I will allow John Mark's legacy to live on by continuing to be adventurous throughout the rest of my time in Rome!
